shapingHR, LLC is
an independent consulting firm that focuses on a broad range
of services targeted at assisting small to mid-sized companies
and non-profits with Human Resources (HR) related compliance
and the management/development of their human capital. We
partner with our clients in designing and implementing effective
HR programs, processes and systems to help them achieve organizational
goals and objectives. Our client base is not industry-specific
and the majority of our clients typically have less than 50
employees.
Our mission is to be the preferred consultant on the fundamentals
of human resources for small to mid-sized employers and non-profit
organizations. Our firm is founded on the principles of honesty,

Barbara
J. Stewart, SPHR, CC
Owner and managing member of shapingHR, LLC, Barbara started
her business in 2003 after 14 years as an HR professional
working primarily in the manufacturing industry for two Fortune
500 companies. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Professional
Communications and Business Management from Alverno College,
Greenfield, Wisconsin, and is certified as a Senior Professional
in Human Resources. She has managed a wide variety of HR functions,
including recruitment and staffing, performance management
and training, compensation and benefits administration, HR
policy and employee relations. During her career, she has
held leadership roles in both corporate and field assignments,
in union and non-union environments, in multiple-location
business units. Professional memberships include Middle Tennessee
Society of Human Resource Management (MT-SHRM), and the national
SHRM organization. Barbara is the Programs Chair on the Board of
Directors for MT-SHRM. She was the recipient of the HR Professional
Excellence Award in 2010 given each year by the Tennessee SHRM State
Council. She is a past board member for Mediation Services
of Middle Tennessee, and is a volunteer mediator with Mid-South
Mediation Services.
Amanda Mast, CIR
Amanda Mast has over 10 years of professional experience as both a Recruiter and a Sourcing Specialist,
working in corporate environments as well as on a consulting basis. Amanda is highly skilled in both
traditional and forward thinking methods of recruitment; developing recruitment strategies and processes
and sourcing candidates for specific roles. She has an eye for key talent and is very results oriented.
She understands the needs of her clients and business partners and is an ultimate team player. You can
count on Amanda to produce quality results. Prior to working with shapingHR, Amanda was a valued member
of the Talent Acquisition Team at Johnson Controls Inc. (a Fortune 100 Company) for four years. She has
also performed consulting work for Harley-Davidson and MillerCoors. Amanda has a Bachelor's Degree in
Human Resources from the University of WI-Whitewater and has her CIR (Certified Internet Recruiter) certification.
